Support the ETBA Honey Queen Program

The goal of the ETBA Honey Queen Program is to encourage young ladies in our community to take an interest in the honey bee and it's important function in our environment.   The Honey Queen is responsible for representing the ETBA at social functions and events, teaching the public about the honey bee, its roll in pollination of many food crops and our roll in protecting it from extinction.  The Honey Queen travels extensively and she has the opportunity to compete on a state wide level for the Texas Honey Queen, a post which comes with a substantial scholarship for higher education.  Being a Honey Queen provides invaluable experience in public speaking, organizing and dealing with the public (all ages) as well cultivating a healthy concern for the environment.  For information about the program contact Dick Counts, ETBA Director at 903-566-6789 or Vi Bourns,  at 903-566-1046.

The Honey Queen Program is self supporting.  Donations and sales of the ETBA Recipe Book entitled " Cooking With My Honey" provide the income to support the Queen's travels and activities.  The cook book includes over 200 honey recipes and is a high quality book with hard back and ring binders.  It is a collector's item and worthy of being passed on to kids and grand kids.  It is a wonderful Christmas or birthday gift.

Below are buttons to purchase the cook book or to just make a donation to this excellent and important program.  At present, all book purchases must be picked up at a meeting of the ETBA.  They are being printed now and should be available in November.  We will notify you when they are in.  If you cannot come to a meeting to pick up the book, please wait until we announce that they are in stock.  We will then provide a button to purchase books with shipping included.

The East Texas Beekeepers Association, Inc. is a tax exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3).  AS SUCH ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
