ETBA CALENDAR
The East Texas Beekeepers Association, Inc.
meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:45 pm in room 104 of the Tyler Jr. College West Campus at 1530 SSW Loop 323 Tyler, Tx. (Corner of Loop 323 and Robertson Road.)
ANYONE INTERESTED IN HONEY BEES AND BEEKEEPING IS WELCOME!
Meetings include programs on specific beekeeping topics, lively discussions among our large membership, the latest news of interest to beekeepers and the expertise and free advice from many experienced beekeepers, some of whom have been keeping honey bees for many decades. We have a growing number of enthusiastic young people among the membership as well.
Meetings are approximately 2 hours long with a "Goodie" break in the middle. All members are encouraged to bring a "Goodie" for everyone to share. Honey based Goodies are especially appreciated!!

Officer elections are held at the April Meeting. If you would like to run for an office or you want to nominate someone for an office, please notify Dick Counts at DICKCOUNTS@BIGPLANET.COM .
On Even numbered months (Feb, April, June, August and October) we have a raffle and an auction to raise funds for the Association. The raffle/auction helps to keep our dues low - only $7.50 for a Membership! Bring any beekeeping items or ANYTHING else (new or used) you want to get rid of. Valuable items are auctioned to the highest bidder. Lots of fun and fellowship!!
Members also have access to an extensive beekeeping dvd video Library including a complete Ohio State University beekeeping course. Supplement what you learn at the meetings with beekeeping videos in the convenience of your own home.

MAY 13, 2010 - THIS MONTH ONLY!!! MEETING MOVED TO MAY 13 (2ND THURSDAY OF THE MONTH) TJC has requested we change the meeting date this month only to the 13th. Regular meeting at Tyler Jr. College West Campus in Room 104 at 6:45 PM.

TENTATIVE OVERVIEW OF 2010 ETBA ACTIVITIES
2. March27th- Honey Bee Festival at Breedlove Nursery and Landscape, Tyler Texas
Queen Kellie will do a cooking demonstration, and other youth in the club will educate people about the honey bee. Details to follow.
3. Also on March 27th- Grand Saline Blooming Festival with Hayden Wolf and her father Gus speaking about pollination; other students will be contacted to participate. More details coming.
4. Feb. 30th- Queen Kellie to speak with Canton Elementary students
